 GRADUATION


To graduate, all academic and financial obligations must be satisfied.

A Final Paper/Project or a two-course substitution must be completed with Columbus through independent study in order to qualify for a Bachelor’s Degree. A Thesis/Project or a two-course substitution must be completed with Columbus through independent study in order to qualify for a Master’s Degree. A Dissertation/Project must be completed with Columbus through independent study in order to qualify for a Doctorate Degree.

For an Associate’s and Bachelor’s Degree, a student must have obtained an overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 or above and must have received a grade of “C” or above on his/her Final Paper/Project, if applicable. For a Master’s and Doctorate Degree, a student must have obtained an overall GPA of 3.0 or above and must have received a grade of “B” or above on his/her Thesis/Project or Dissertation/Project, if applicable.

Official transcripts indicating coursework completed at other colleges or universities must be received prior to graduation. Official transcripts must arrive in an envelope sealed by the transcripts’ issuing college or university.

Upon completion of the aforementioned graduation requirements, the student should complete and return to the University the Graduation and Diploma Request forms. If more than one official transcript is desired, the student should complete and return the Transcript Request form as well.
